With Tucker’s life and career falling apart, things are looking pretty dire for him on The Young & The Restless. Of course, the schemer has rebounded in the past, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen this time around as portrayer Trevor St. John said his farewells on Twitter/X.

“Dear Y&R fans,” he wrote. “As you well know, Tuckers come and Tuckers go, and so the cycle continues… this Tucker is in his go phase.”

The character of Tucker McCall was introduced back in December 2009 and was played by William Russ for just a few weeks before the role was recast with Stephen Nichols (Steve, Days Of Our Lives; ex-Stefan, General Hospital). After his exit in January 2013, the character wasn’t seen again until September 2022 when Trevor St. John (Victor, One Life To Live) joined the cast of Y&R in a mystery role that was eventually revealed to be Tucker.

“I thank each and every member of the wonderful cast, the crew, the directors, the producers and production staff, and CBS/Sony for the great experience from day one to the last,” St. John declared. “I feel so fortunate to have played such a terrific role. Most importantly, want to offer my heartfelt gratitude to you, the Y&R fans. Thank you!”

Given that Tucker’s heart attack in the June 17 episode turned out to be totally fake, it does appear that Audra is going to steal Glissade away from him. So while Tucker will likely be leaving Genoa City with his tail between his legs, at least he’s not dead so there’s always the possibility he’ll be back one day! You never know what might happen in the future!

And as St. John himself noted: “Tucker might be gone for the time being, but I’m not going anywhere. I’ve got projects in the works, and if you haven’t seen my film, A Good Enough Day, it’s now available to stream for free on Tubi!”
