Kyle is at a major crossroads in his life on The Young & The Restless, but will he really turn his back on his family to work for a competing company? When things fall apart with the Abbotts, Kyle turns to Victor, unaware that he’s just a pawn in The Mustache’s latest scheme.

“I think he’s going to play dirty,” Michael Mealor told Soap Opera Digest of his character’s plans. “He wants to prove that he can make it on his own, so he’s moving on.”

After the way he’s been treated by Jack and Diane at Jabot, the idea of becoming co-CEO of Glissade is extremely tempting. “It’s also a cosmetics company, so it’s something that he feels comfortable with and can succeed in,” the actor mused. “This is his chance to really make a name for himself outside of Jabot. I think the cosmetics industry will always know Kyle as an Abbott.

“It’s not known that Victor is an investor but Glissade is a fully-funded company and Kyle gets to build it from the ground up in a way that he sees fit,” he continued. “This can really show his drive, his ability, his creativity, all away from the legacy of Jabot so that’s becoming more and more attractive to Kyle.”

Of course, accepting the job as co-CEO of Glissade means that he’s going to be working closely with the other co-CEO, who just so happens to be his ex-lover, Audra. It’s unlikely there will be any mixing of business and pleasure this time around! “This could be a powder keg ready to go off,” admitted Mealor.
