Birthday Girl Tracey E. Bregman Reflects on Life’s “Twists and Turns”
There’s no better time than when celebrating your birthday to make you take stock of where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re headed. And that is exactly what The Young & The Restless star Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren) did in a heartfelt social media message following her May 29 birthday!
“This is 61,” she began her Instagram post, sharing a stunning black-and-white portrait of herself seated in a chair. “I’m so grateful to be in Nashville celebrating with my family surrounding me. Life is wonderful, and full of twists and turns, and is so delicate as well.”
As Bregman went on to explain, the fragility of life is something she recently experienced firsthand: Her beloved mother, actress Suzanne Lloyd (who appeared as one of Dina’s friends in a 2017 episode of Y&R), had a series of strokes over the past week. “Thank God, [she] will be okay,” the actress wrote. “But it is truly a reminder of how lucky and fragile life can be. I’ve always said, ‘It’s not what happens to you that defines you, it’s what you do from that moment on that does.’”
Despite her mother’s health scare, Bregman was full of appreciation for all the blessings in her life and for her loved ones who made her birthday so special. “Today, my heart expands with love and gratitude,” the birthday girl wholeheartedly concluded. “And to all the family and friends who continually show up and have a seat at my table, you all make me a better person, mom, stepmom, daughter, girlfriend, and friend. I love you from the depths of my heart.”
Bregman, who splits her time between Los Angeles and Nashville, enjoyed birthday celebrations in California and Tennessee this month! On May 15, she blew out candles a few weeks early at the iconic Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel, sharing a clip of her friends singing to her. Then, on her actual birthday, Bregman was the guest of honor at a gathering at her Nashville ranch with her Tennessee pals — including Melissa Ordway (Abby, Y&R) and Missy Reeves (ex-Jennifer, Days of Our Lives)!
