Don’t miss your chance to spend some time with Guiding Light star Maeve Kinkead (Vanessa) during a special live chat in The Locher Room on Thursday, June 27, at 3 p.m. ET, just in time for the 72nd anniversary of the soap’s television premiere on June 30, 1952.

Kinkead joined the cast of GL back in June 1980 and played the role of beleaguered heroine Vanessa Chamberlin Reardon for nearly three decades. She was nominated five times for Daytime Emmy Awards for her work on the soap and took home the trophy for Supporting Actress in 1992.

After majoring in English at Radcliffe University, Kinkead continued her education at Harvard, becoming involved with the Loeb Drama Center, which sparked her love of acting. But she has continued to write, earning an MFA from the Warren Wilson MFA program for Writers and her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry in Performance, and Seventeen Magazine. Kinkead even published a book of poetry titled A Dangling House in 2017.

She’ll have a lot to talk about, so don’t miss it!
