Colin Cassidy Is the New Aiden on General Hospital!
Kids grow up so fast on soaps, and General Hospital, especially! With all the recasts, it has been a little difficult to keep track of the teens on the show, and now there’s going to be another new Aiden on GH!
Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Colin Cassidy will be taking over the role of Liz and Lucky’s son, Aiden, on Monday, Sept. 30. “I feel incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” the young actor said. “To be thrown in with the incredible actors I’m working with and have these amazing scenes to do… it’s really not something to scoff at! It’s a big deal and I’m very grateful.”
Cassidy’s previous credits include the movies Merry Ex-Mas, Labyu With an Accent, and Knockout Blonde: TheKellie Maloney Story. GH will mark his daytime debut.
Born in July 2010, Aiden Spencer was played by a series of twins as an infant until 2011 when Titus Jackson, the real-life son of Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) took over. In August 2012, Jason David stepped in, portraying the boy until March 2021. GH recast the role again in August 2021 with Enzo De Angelis, who remained until May 2024 when Tristan Riggs took over.
Aiden struggled a lot as a little boy but after coming out as gay to his mother as a teen, things have settled down some. Unfortunately, all of that is going to change with the return of his father, Lucky! It’s been nearly 10 years since Aiden has seen his dad in person, so who knows how that’s going to go?
